Bose Professional is introducing the AMM series to its lineup of sound reinforcement systems. The manufacturer describes the new product as a versatile extension of its largest ArenaMatch system. The AMM series—along with the AMU series speakers that have been part of the lineup for some time—complements Bose’s flagship line array system.The AMM series consists of three loudspeakers: the full-range AMM108 and AMM112, which are the first in the Bose lineup capable of operating as floor-mounted stage monitors (wedges) and the AMS115 subwoofer. Their design and sound have been fine-tuned to ensure compatibility with the AM and AMU series.
AMS115
A multifunctional passive subwoofer built around a 15″ driver with a nominal impedance of 8Ω. It offers a frequency response of 40 Hz – 100 Hz (-3 dB). It generates 90 dB SPL in a free field at 500 W. Its light weight (28 kg) and excellent performance make it ideal for use in a wide range of applications:
- Temporary installations – as a woofer component of a mobile system when used in conjunction with the AMM108 or AMM112 (mounted on a pole in an integrated M20 socket)
- Stage applications – as a woofer in a full-range stage sidefill system when used in conjunction with the AMM108 or AMM112
- Permanent installation – as a subwoofer assembly that can be freestanding or suspended using eyelet mounts attached to M10 screw-in sockets
AMM108
A multifunctional, passive, full-range, two-way speaker with a coaxially mounted 8″ woofer and 1.7″ driver, with a nominal impedance of 8Ω. Its frequency response ranges from 88 Hz to 17 kHz (-3 dB). It produces 94 dB SPL at 150 W. The AMM108’s coverage angles are 110°H x 60°V. Thanks to the use of unique waveguide matching technology, changing the coverage angles requires only rotating the loudspeaker, without the need to disassemble it or alter its design.
The AMM108 comes equipped with three factory preset sets for PowerMatch amplifiers, designed for use in the following configurations:
- floor-mounted stage monitor
- the tweeter from the car audio system, along with the AMS115 subwoofer
- full-range front speaker
The AMM108 is a small, sleek speaker that works perfectly as a compact monitor, a discreet sound system, a frontfill, or a spot source for a fixed installation.
AMM112
The AMM112 is the „big brother” of the AMM108. Its 12″ woofer, combined with a coaxially mounted 3″ driver, delivers a frequency response of 70 Hz – 18 kHz. This design can be powered passively or in bi-amp mode. With a continuous power rating of 300W, it delivers an average of 96 dB SPL (131 dB peak). Like the AMM108, its coverage angles are 110°H x 60°V. Waveguide matching technology is also employed here.
The AMM112 also comes equipped with three factory preset sets for PowerMatch amplifiers, designed for use in the following configurations:
- floor-mounted stage monitor
- the tweeter from the car audio system, along with the AMS115 subwoofer
- full-range front speaker
The AMM112 is, first and foremost, a full-fledged, powerful, bi-amped stage monitor. It’s also ideal as a portable sound system or as a point source in a permanent installation. It works great as a sidefill when paired with the AMS115.
