Commercial Audio Workshop - Mixing in Dolby Atmos

Another installment of the Commercial Audio Workshop series! This time, join us for a workshop entitled: Mixing in Dolby Atmos. We encourage you to sign up, as the number of places is limited!

As early as January 23, 2025, in an excellent Studio 7.1.4 Around the Sound A workshop will be held on „Mix in Dolby Atmos„, which is part of the Commercial Audio Workshop series. This is a great opportunity to learn from the best in such comfortable conditions, where monitors are responsible for listening ATC Loudspeakers. Commercial Audio as Dolby Atmos Certified Service Partner places special emphasis on education in the field, offering full support in the process of design, configuration, tuning and Dolby Atmos certification.

The workshop will be led by:

Christopher Winter - Audio engineer, music producer and Next Generation Audio (NGA) technology expert. A graduate of the SAE Institute, Music Broadcasting University of the Arts London and Sonic Arts MWC, he has been active in the immersive technology and creative music production markets for years. Since 2018, he has been hosting a broadcast „Polyphones” on London's Resonance FM radio, promoting music from Eastern Europe. His passion for immersive sound has led to collaborations with renowned institutes such as the Fraunhofer Institute, Zylia, Dirac, Salsa Sounds, Channel 4, BBC, Sony Corporation and Dolby Atmos.

As Head of Sound at Sony Music UK, he created a complex of recording studios where he led and supervised sessions with Grammy and Brit Award-winning artists such as Dave Gahan (Depeche Mode), Sade, Mark Ronson, Nick Mason (Pink Floyd), Bobby Gillespie (Primal Scream), Robbie Williams, Harry Styles, Kasabian, Joy Crookes, Tom Grennan, Rag'n'Bone Man, Backstreet Boys and many others.

As COO Ark360, one of the first immersive studios in London, Christopher oversaw the production of more than 30,000 immersive mixes for such labels as Sony Music, BMG, Warner, Universal, Ninja Tune, Warp, Spinnin’ Records, Columbia, Ministry of Sound, RCA. Originator and coordinator of the compilation release „Immersive London Calling”.” - the first-ever collection of works produced with surround sound technology. Christopher also serves as COO of the non-profit organization Amoenus, which brings together immersive content creators and specializes in training in surround sound and organizing immersive music events.

Kacper Bogacz - is one of the most experienced immersive music mixing specialists in Poland. A graduate of the Academy of Music in Katowice, where he graduated from the Jazz Department in the guitar class, he combines a solid musical education with a passion for modern sound technologies.

Known for his collaborations with internationally acclaimed artists such as Dua Lipa, Motörhead, Bicep, David Guetta, Little Dragon, as well as Polish stars such as Kayah, Reni Jusis, Kacper has numerous musical projects such as Polon, appreciated both at home and abroad.

Kacper has been working with Ark360 for years, and his mixes stand out for their top quality and creativity, which is appreciated by leading music producers. In cooperation with Ark360, in addition to his practical knowledge, Kacper shares his knowledge by conducting workshops that contribute to the development of immersive sound.

David Ziegler - graduated in sound engineering (Dipl. Tonmeister) in Berlin, Germany, and worked as a sound designer and mixing enginner on feature films and television before joining Dolby in 2012.
As Content Relations Manager at Dolby Europe, he works closely with audio mixing professionals, studios, music producers and labels - educating the industry on Dolby Atmos workflows, mixing techniques and the creative possibilities Dolby Atmos offers for music, movies and more.

In addition, Krzysztof Winter and Kacper Bogacz will share their insights on their one mix with the participants after the workshop, which they can perform after the workshop on headphones in their studio.
