ANALOG CONSOLE SSL SIX
The SSL Six analog console is a new and certainly useful tool for the small studio or stage. It includes a compact mixer whose DNA comes from Solid State Logic's analog mixing systems. SSL's philosophy is simple: we spare nothing in the design and manufacture of the best and precise music tools that can go anywhere. What's more, everything from preamplifiers SuperAnalogue™, through electronics, signal processing and output rails, plays its part in providing the best sound quality and speed.
SSL SIX - SUPER ANALOGUE™ TECHNOLOGY
It provides the sound quality of SSL's large-format analog consoles (9000, AWS, Duality) in a sleek device. Its signal path is fully balanced from start to finish except for the headphone output. As a result, the Six delivers pristine, detailed sound with undeniably wide dynamic range, ultra-low noise, ultra-low distortion and excellent spatial imaging. TWO FULL CHANNELS OF ANALOG CONSOLE SSL
The SSL SIX has two mono channels (SSL SuperAnalogue™) with Mic 'Pre'. They feature transparency, are fast and have a much wider gain range than is usual for a compact mixer, i.e. 66 dB gain. What's more, each channel has an additional 48V power supply, a 75 Hz high-pass filter and an independent line input. The line input, meanwhile, can be switched to a high impedance instrument level input.
Moving down the channel, we have a newly designed compressor with a single knob. This module works exactly like a classic SSL compressor circuit. It has a setting-dependent attack time, a fixed RELEASE and fixed RATIO. Just set the threshold (TRESHOLD) and watch the diodes to see how hard the compressor is working, so you can adjust the input signal.
MONO CHANNELS AND DUAL-BAND SSL EQUALIZER
SSL equalizer can be independently switched between characteristics SHELF i BELL with different center frequencies for each type. The method is based on SSL's specification of response curves and center frequencies for EQ, which in this regard are undeniably pleasantly intuitive. Therefore, the curves and frequencies were chosen by a team of people as the most „musically useful.”.

Since each channel has a fully balanced point INSERT, which is located after the EQ and Compressor circuits. Therefore, as in all other SSL consoles, the insert send is always active. Therefore, you can use this as a signal DIRECT sent to a DAW program, for example.
ANALOG CONSOLE SSL SIX - ADDITIONAL ALT INPUTS
At the bottom of the mono channels, we have an ALT input switch that can input 2 additional mono channels from a connector on the back of the console (DB25). Therefore, they can be used during mixing. Moreover, the SSL Six analog console is a collection of some of the most important tools taken from large format consoles Solid State Logic compact version.
