SSL Live L550 obsłuży do 1136 fizycznych wejść i wyjść w częstotliwości 96kHz. Jednocześnie L550 obsłuży 288 ścieżek z czego 240 z pełnym processingiem, a pozostałe 48 bez. 240 kanałów z pełnym procesoringiem można podzielić na grupy stereo, auxy lub sekcję master i skonfigurować jako MONO, STEREO, 5.1 oraz LCR.

The LIVE series consoles combine the tradition of SSL sound with a completely new user interface developed in cooperation with the world's leading sound engineers. The main feature of the live consoles is sound quality. Input and output sampling is 96kHz. The user interface used combines the basics available today in various consoles with a collection of powerful features developed by SSL that will change the workflow of tomorrow.
BUDOWA STOŁU SSL LIVE L550.
L550 jest bardzo solidną konsoletą zbudowaną na platformie „TEMPEST”, która została zaprojektowana specjalnie na potrzeby produkcji live. Moc platformy TEMPEST pozwala na pełną równowagę pracy i swobodny podział zasobów. Dzięki temu SSL daje możliwość dowolnej konfiguracji wejść i wyjść, grup, auxów, sekcji master równocześnie zapewniając potężną liczbę narzędzi do przetwarzania dźwięku i mocy do obróbki sygnałów. Konsoleta SSL Live L550 jest zbudowana z 3 sekcji FADER TAIL, każda po 12 faderów, 19″ głównego ekranu dotykowego oraz sekcji Master i Channel Tail z dodatkowym mniejszym ekranem, rówżnież dotykowym.
LOKALNE WEJŚCIA I WYJŚCIA W L550
L550 jest wyposażony w dużą ilość lokalnych wejść i wyjść zdolnych do obsługi małych i średnich produkcji.Wszechstronność połączeń; MADI, DANTE, ANALOG, MIDI, IP MIDI, LTC, WORLD CLOCK daje możliwość działania bez użycia żadnych Stageboxów. Konsolety SSL Live mają funkcję automatycznego wykrywania, dzięki czemu można zidentyfikować dowolne urządzenia wejściowo/wyjściowe MADI czy DANTE bezpośrednio na stronie routingu. Lokalne 16 wejść i wyjść analogowych może zostać rozbudowane do 32 in/out.
WORKING ON SSL LIVE DIGITAL CONSOLE
The basis for speed and smoothness in the live table is clear and transparent access to the function you need at any given moment. When designing the SSL LIVE, engineers went to great lengths to ensure that the most frequently used functions were neatly arranged within reach of the performer. The control surface on the LIVE console provides truly intuitive touchscreen operation, giving you full control of the equipment and access to the entire collection of functions.

Fadery w konsolecie L550 są dowolnie konfigurowane aby móc sterować zarówno kanałami jak i VCA oraz torami aux, które odróżniają zmienne kolory. Każdy tłumik to 100mm zmotoryzowana konstrukcja, nad którą znajduje się przycisk SOLO, MUTE, QUERY (informujący o kierowaniu sygnału (POST / PRE), przycisk SELECT.
LAYERS AND BANKS IN THE SURFACE OF THE CONOSLETTE
SSL designed the layer system and its layout through the lens of its experience with broadcast consoles. That's why LIVE has an elegant, flexible and highly customizable workspace that, even during a large concert, allows for very good organization and quick access to individual layers and banks. Layers and banks are color-coded.
FOCUS FADER
The Focus Fader has been located to the right in the TILE Control Channel section and is a slider that works for the currently selected channel, giving you full control of editing and level settings over the entire selected channel.
SYSTEM MONITOR.
In LIVE operation, a picture of the entire environment of incoming and outgoing signals is invaluable. In order not to change the layer of the main screen, SSL offers an additional monitor that shows a full picture of the signal paths; channels,AUX, groups, VCA, MASTERS, BUS, SOLO/MUTE tags, etc.
SOLO and TALKBACK FEATURES.
There are two independent SOLO BUSSES tracks with dedicated PUSH/SELECT knobs for volume control, along with 3 outputs for headphones or a listening system, for example. LIVE also features two TALKBACK BUSSES. The configuration gives you the option to send each channel to the SOLO and TALKBACK buses.

Each of us has our own way of implementation and individual approach to control and ergonomics of work. With the LIVE console, most things can be done either with a touch screen or by controlling with potentiometers and faders, or a combination of both. The channels on the SSL LIVE are very easy to set up. Each channel has its own processing power and can operate in two ways; full signal processing or I/O only.

With a built-in Dante and X-Light card, SSL Live consoles have the ability to transmit up to 256 channels in DANTE format over a single fiber-optic cable at 96kHz. SSL digital consoles provide routing and full control of DANTE and DDM networks from within the console itself.
The MADI and BlackLight connectors on the SSL console provide the ability to transmit up to 256 signals over a single fiber at 96kHz. Connections can be fully redundant. The BlackLight bridge allows easy connection of up to 8 MADI stageboxes and full splitting of redundant signals between two consoles.
