Eclipse® HX-Omega is an advanced solution with tremendous capabilities for a highly scalable digital matrix intercom system that can support up to 490 audio ports in a 6RU frame.

Eclipse HX-Omega is a 6RU intercom system frame with slots for two CPU cards and 15 interface cards. It has internal power supplies. RJ45 and fiber optic connectors linking the matrix to a wide range of interfaces and user panels via various media are located on the rear of the chassis, .

Interface cards

Serving as a central hub for connecting from 16 to 490 audio channel ports in a 6RU space, the Eclipse HX-Omega offers almost any combination of the many available Eclipse HX-type I/O interface cards. Interface cards include: E-MADI64-HX (up to 64 bidirectional channels to any AES10 (up to 64 bidirectional channels to any AES10-compatible device), E-IPA-xx-HX (16-64 IP connections), and MVX-A16-HX (analog RJ45). The E-FIB-HX (fiber connection) card can connect Eclipse arrays to expand to even larger systems.

Interface modules

HX-Omega supports external interface modules in optional IMF 1RU and 3RU frames. These modules convert 4-wire from the MVX-A16 matrix port to other types of signals that communicate with devices such as telephones, two-way radios, camera intercoms, partylines and other forms of external communication.
Interface modules include: TEL-14 (telephone interface), CCI-22 (dual partyline interface), FOR-22 (4-wire interface), GPI-6 (general purpose inputs) and RLY-6 (relay outputs).

Extensible architecture and connectivity

Eclipse HX-Frame arrays can intelligently connect to many types of media, including 4-wire, IP, MADI, Dante or forming a redundant Fiber + Data ring. A single intelligent network system can contain any combination of Eclipse HX-Omega, Eclipse HX-Median and Eclipse HX-Delta or Eclipse HX-Delta Lite arrays. The size of the network system ranges from 72 to thousands of ports on multiple Eclipse frames

Power supply and redundancy

The system offers dual redundant external power supplies and redundant CPU-HX-equipped processors to ensure system uptime at any point during critical use. One power supply can power the entire array, while the other is a backup in case of failure or damage to the first unit. A built-in sensor is connected to both an audible failure alarm and a warning light, allowing the system operator to diagnose a potential problem and take action.
