Bose Professional ControlSpace Designer

Signal processing design

ControlSpace Designer software provides the tools needed to configure the audio signal processing and network operation of Bose Professional ControlSpace ESP and EX processors and endpoints, PowerMatch and PowerShare amplifiers, and ControlCenter controllers. With a complete library of signal processing functions, ControlSpace Designer supports the open DSP architecture of ESP and EX processors, giving you the ability to create fully customized signal processing designs. Network configuration tools help you quickly configure all ControlSpace network devices to work in a larger ControlSpace control network.

Create a library of control functions using parameter sets and group control functions. A single parameter set can change the state of a single processing function - or a set of different processing parameters when called - while groups give you the ability to control multiple gains simultaneously or multiple instances of the same type of signal processing function. In addition, both parameter set and group programming functions can be easily mapped to the physical controls of a Bose Professional ControlCenter controller, or can be called remotely using standard serial protocol, time/schedule-based calling, or general-purpose inputs (clock-based and GPI-based parameter set calling is only available with Bose Professional ESP processors).

Once signal processing and control system design is complete, Smart Simulation allows all control programming to be tested and modified offline. Smart Simulation uses a virtual representation of the Bose Professional ControlCenter controllers to configure and test the system's control programming - eliminating the need to connect to the real system to test the control.

Once actively connected to the system, ControlSpace Designer software is used to configure the operation of all signal processing functions, either as a system interface for system startup or as a system monitor during operation. When configured in monitor mode, all device parameters are protected and the system operator has access only to the virtual control centers and amplifier monitor functions.

A number of integrated tools simplify and streamline the design and configuration of Bose Professional devices using the Dante® audio network.

(1) Calling parameter sets based on clock and GPI is only available for sound processors.

Important information:

If you are using CSD 5.12 to CSD 5.13.1 with PowerShareX amplifiers and an EX or ESP processor, using low impedance speakers, download version 5.13.2 or later, as this is a required update.
