The Bose Professional Sound Processor CSP-4228 simplifies the operation of installations that require surface sound reinforcement where music is played and a microphone is used with intelligent controls.
AutoVolume adjusts sound levels in real time to adapt to changing ambient noise, while SmartBass ensures optimal low frequencies.
With time-based scheduling, source and level changes can be automated throughout the day, eliminating the need for manual adjustments. The web-based architecture allows for easy real-time configuration and management via a browser interface or offline configuration tool.
The CSP supports up to five listening areas, managed via optional digital controllers or the ControlSpace Remote app, and offers enhanced mixing functionality to combine multiple input sources, ideal for amplifying live microphones.
All in all, the Bose Professional sound processor is a versatile, powerful solution for high-quality sound reinforcement with user-friendly network control.
Key features:
- Ensure optimal sound levels with AutoVolume, which adjusts in real time to ambient noise, keeping music at the ideal level when used in conjunction with AVM-1 microphones (sold separately). Upgrade to the CSP-1248 processor to support up to five AVM-1 units, or choose the CSP-4228 processor for up to two units.
- Provide the perfect level of bass - noticeable, but never overwhelming. SmartBass delivers balanced low frequencies, adapting to room acoustics and ear sensitivity for rich, non-overpowering sound, even at low volume.
- No more uneven sound levels from different sources. Opti-Source Level Management adjusts input levels from up to four sources for uniform volume. Opti-Voice provides smooth transitions between music and announcements.
- Full mixing functionality to mix input sources and assign them to each listening area.
- The sound system can be divided into zones to customize the sound for each area, creating up to five separate listening zones. Control each zone with optional wall-mounted ControlCenter controllers or the ControlSpace Remote app.
- Use the CSP Configuration Utility application to pre-configure devices and export settings.
- Adequate connectivity for cost-effective commercial installation - 2 x 2 balanced analog I/O, 2 pairs of mono-summed RCA inputs, 8 control inputs, 1 control output, mute contact, Ethernet port and Bose Professional AmpLink connectivity.
- Bose Professional AmpLink output for simplified digital audio connection to compatible power amplifiers, reducing the number of terminations and associated points of failure.
- Simplify cabling with a network-based architecture using Cat-5 or Cat-6 cabling and PoE capabilities. Supports both DHCP and static IP schemes for flexibility and scalability.
