SSL LIVE L100 Plus DIGITAL CONSOLETTE - THE LARGEST CONSOLETTE IN THE SERIES WITH A LARGE POWER SUPPLY

The SSL Live L100 console will handle up to 472 physical inputs and outputs at 96kHz. What's more, the signal processing and I/O count of the LIVE console is flexible. It's also worth mentioning that the SSL L100 will handle 96 tracks with full processing simultaneously. The 96 channels with full processing can be divided into both stereo and aux or master sections and configured as MONO, STEREO, 5.1 and LCR.

SSL LIVE DIGITAL CONSOLES ARE A COLLECTION OF EXPERIENCES

Solid State Logic has 37 years of experience in table design. Many of the company's solutions and ideas, thanks to its creative approach to the field, are still today the standard and the way to go for both music production and post-production, broadcast and film editing work. What's more, ergonomically and intelligently designed sound production tools enable sound engineers to work efficiently. Therefore, from now on, creative work at the highest sonic level will be even easier.

The LIVE series consoles combine the tradition of SSL sound with a completely new user interface developed in cooperation with the world's leading sound engineers. The main feature of the live consoles is sound quality, with input and output sampling of 96kHz. What's more, the user interface used combines the basics available today in various consoles with a collection of powerful features developed by SSL that will change the way tomorrow works.

CONSTRUCTION OF THE CONSOLE MIXER - SSL LIVE 100

The L100 is a digital console built on the „TEMPEST” platform. It was designed specifically for live production. The power of the TEMPEST engine allows not only a full balance of work, but also free distribution of resources. Therefore, SSL gives you the possibility of any configuration of inputs and outputs, groups, auxes and master sections. At the same time, it provides a powerful number of tools for processing both audio and signal processing power.

LOCAL INPUTS AND OUTPUTS IN SSL LIVE L100

The device is equipped with a large number of local inputs and outputs capable of handling small and medium-sized productions. The versatility of connections (not only MADI, but also DANTE, ANALOG, MIDI, IP MIDI, LTC and WORLD CLOCK) gives you the ability to operate without any Stageboxes. What's more, SSL Live consoles have an auto-detection function, so any input/output devices can be identified. This applies to both MADI and DANTE directly on the routing side.

WORKING ON SSL LIVE DIGITAL CONSOLE

The basis for speed and fluidity in the live table is clear and transparent access to the function you need at any given moment. When designing the SSL LIVE, engineers went to great lengths to ensure that the most frequently used functions were neatly arranged within reach of the performer. The control surface on the LIVE console provides truly intuitive touchscreen operation. This gives full control of the hardware and access to the entire collection of functions.

MOTORIZED FADERS

The SSL L100 has 1 FADER TAIL section with 12 faders, plus a Focus fader and master fader. All faders in the console are freely configurable to control both channels and VCA and output rails, which are distinguished by variable colors. Each fader is a 100mm motorized design. There is a SOLO button above it, a MUTE button, a QUERY button (indicating signal routing (POST / PRE), a SELECT button.

LAYERS AND BANKS IN THE SURFACE OF THE CONOSLETTE

SSL designed the layer system and its layout through the lens of its experience with broadcast consoles. Therefore, LIVE has an elegant, flexible and highly customizable workspace. What's more, even during a large concert, it allows for very good organization and quick access to individual layers and banks. Layers and banks are color-coded.

FOCUS FADER

The Focus Fader has been located to the right in the TILE Control Channel section and is a slider that works for the currently selected channel, giving you full control of editing and level settings over the entire selected channel.

SYSTEM MONITOR.

In LIVE operation, a picture of the entire environment of incoming and outgoing signals is invaluable. In order not to change the layer of the main screen, SSL has developed an additional monitor that shows a full picture of the signal paths; channels, AUX, groups, VCA, MASTERS, BUS, SOLO/MUTE tags, etc....

SOLO and TALKBACK FEATURES.

There are two independent SOLO BUSSES tracks with dedicated PUSH/SELECT knobs for volume control, along with 3 outputs for headphones or a listening system, for example. LIVE also features two TALKBACK BUSSES. The configuration gives you the option to send each channel to the SOLO and TALKBACK buses.

HOW TO WORK ON SSL LIVE

Each of us has our own way of implementation and individual approach to control and ergonomics of work. With a LIVE console, most things can be done either with a touch screen or controlling with potentiometers and faders. You can also combine both possibilities. The channels on the SSL LIVE are very simple to set up. Each channel has its own processing power and can operate in two ways: full signal processing or I/O only.

DANTE Stageboxes

With a built-in Dante and X-Light card, SSL Live consoles have the ability to transmit up to 256 channels in DANTE format over a single fiber-optic cable at 96kHz. SSL digital consoles provide routing and full control of DANTE and DDM networks from within the console itself.

MADI Stageboxes

The MADI and BlackLight connectors on the SSL console provide the ability to transmit up to 256 signals over a single fiber at 96kHz. Connections can be fully redundant. The BlackLight bridge allows easy connection of up to 8 MADI stageboxes and full splitting of redundant signals between two consoles.
