SSL LMC+ DYNAMICS MODULE

The SSL LMC+ module is a much improved version of the classic Listen Mic Compressor 500 format. The dynamics processor, known from the legendary SL 4000E consoles, was the secret weapon of the Solid State Logic against competitors in the market. Originally, the device was designed to limit the signal from the microphone used for communication in the studio. The SSL product had fixed parameters attack i release and was perfect for processing ambient drum mics.

The SSL LMC+ compressor has a wide range of applications.

The SSL LMC+ module incorporates the classic SSL filters: high-pass and low-pass. They allow compression of a given frequency range and, what's more, they are equipped with a filter for compressing the sidechain. It is also possible to adjust the signal wet/dry. In addition, the LMC+ module puts at our disposal two new, wonderfully useful tools: the button SCOOP, which reverses the polarity of the signal wet and button SPLIT, which turns on the bandwidth compression mode. All of these tools can be used either simultaneously or separately. The effect of this, in combination with filters or compression sidechain, there is an opportunity to create a distinctive sound and realize various ideas of the sound engineer.
