SSL System T TCR

The SSL System T TCS, or Tempest Control Rack, is a control interface in a 3U enclosure with a slide-out touchscreen. It works with all SSL System T. The Tempest Control Rack (TCR) is ideal for the broadcast environment. If you require access to a powerful audio mixer in a small physical footprint, this is sure to perform. Like the entire T System series, the TCR also operates in a networked environment. This allows free expansion with additional controllers: not only S300, but also S500 or S500m, a DSP processor, and I/O devices.

SSL TCR is exactly the same technological solutions that you will find in other models of System T. It communicates over the protocol Dante AoIP which gives instant detection of devices in this standard from the TCR controller. Both the T-System's T25 and T80 motors and dedicated I/O devices create an ideal solution for the space. Moreover, they require the highest quality and high computing power with optimal space.

Touchscreen controller

The SSL System T TCR consists of a 3U chassis that houses a PC with an optional 15.6-inch slide-out touchscreen. In addition, the TCR runs the complete System T control software, acting as an independent controller for System T installations. The System T software is the same for the entire series of controllers which gives you the ability to easily transfer Showfile or use one show on 3 controllers connected to one engine.

SSL System T - TCR ideal for engineering applications

A custom screen mounting system allows the screen to be used at a wide range of angles, allowing the unit to be mounted in a traditional 19-inch cabinet or in a studio. The unit is equipped with both dual power supplies and primary and secondary OCP network connections. Also included are dual Dante Networks connections, network connections (for production automation systems) and other System T control interfaces or a computer using T-SOLSA software. In addition, there are HDMI and DVI-D outputs on board. There are also front and rear USB connectors for keyboard, mouse and USB memory stick connections.

When combined with a T25 (or T80) motor, the Tempest Control Rack creates a stand-alone System T mixer system in a rack. This combination is ideal for automation-controlled studios. It can be combined with one of SSL's stageboxes to create a separate unit.

SSL TCR controller is a full cooperation with the whole T System.

The TCR is an ideal addition to the larger System T controller: S300, S500 or S500m. It will prove useful in carriage installations or TV studios as an additional controller for the main console. Software compatibility gives full comfort of work and cooperation with the entire series of T-series devices.

Why the Dante protocol?

The Dante protocol gives access to seamless interoperability with more than 350 licensed manufacturers that make more than 1,000 devices. The SSL System T TCR is also fully compatible with the AES67 protocol and is ready to work with the SMPTE 2110-30 protocol. The system allows full control of Dante network routing from the console and control interfaces.

Dante uses full plug-and-play device discovery with the ability to move across the network and reconnect with settings intact. Fully redundant network topologies used and proven in many IT applications provide the security required in studio and broadcast infrastructures.
