The SSL 500 Series ULTRAVIOLET stereo equalizer takes the acclaimed minimum phase shift equalizer section from the Fusion console and brings it to the 500 Series format. ULTRAVIOLET EQ takes it a step further than Fusion, adding two dedicated midbands with unique Focus control, for maximum EQ flexibility. The ideal partner to SSL's legendary 500 Series compressor, ULTRAVIOLET EQ draws on SSL's legacy of careful frequency selection and response curves to create a musical and intuitive equalizer designed to work quickly and efficiently.

Focus Mode:

Focus mode allows the user to „sharpen” problem frequencies or specific frequencies they want to accentuate or attenuate. Pressing the „Focus” switch automatically narrows the selected Q setting and increases the available gain range beyond the normal +/- 9 dB operation. In true flexible workflow fashion, SSL transforms this musical-sounding SSL equalizer into a more surgical tool.
