Clear-Com Encore RS-703 two-channel wired beltpack

Clear-Com Encore® is an analog 2-wire partyline system with intuitive plug-and-play design and superior "Clear-Com Sound" sound quality.

The Clear-Com Encore RS-703 is a 2-channel analog 2-wire beltpack that, being part of a 2-wire partyline system, carries power and audio through an XLR-3 line connector. The beltpack offers high headroom, low noise, and distinctive sound ("Clear-Com Sound") to ensure the highest quality communication.

Support

The RS-703 has LEDs on the top of the case for visual indication of incoming and outgoing calls. A microphone preamplifier provides intelligible voice communication at any volume level. Built-in rotary volume controls and Call and Talk buttons are designed to minimize the possibility of accidental activation. The RS-703 features low power consumption, allowing more beltpacks to be used in a chain. In addition, the beltpack has a level control for a symmetrical mono program input, which is realized via a 3.5mm TRS jack.

DIP switches and LEDs

A hidden panel of DIP switches on the back of the beltpack allows quick and easy selection of audio options and key functions. The DIP switches can control functions such as switching between electret or dynamic headset, setting the level for headphone output, adjusting volume settings, turning LED signaling on or off, Call on Talk or Talk key latch for channel A, Call on Talk or Talk key latch for channel B, setting the minimum volume for channel B, and selecting RTS-TW/Clear-Com mode. A green LED indicates that the beltpack is powered, and a green LED on the Talk key indicates that the microphone is active (latched). An amber LED indicates a call signal on the channel.

Improved design

Sturdy and handy, the RS-703 enclosure follows the design of previous beltpacks in the RS-500 series. A mounting clip allows for various uses of the beltpack; users can clip it to a belt or lanyard, or mount it to a wall, pole or desk for permanent installations.

Compliance

The RS-703 is compatible with any intercom system or peripheral device that supports 2-wire. This beltpack requires the TWC-703 TW adapter when used with a Clear-Com partyline intercom system. The RS-703 can also be directly connected to FreeSpeak® base stations, Arcadia central stations and LQ® IP interfaces with 2-wire ports configured as RTS-TW.
