The Origin EVO, on the other hand, goes a step further, bringing the dynamics of the SSL E-Series into every channel - one of the defining elements of the classic SSL sound from the 1980s. You can expect powerful, aggressive compression and ultra-fast gating, faithfully reproduced thanks to the original circuitry and components that provide the authentic character of the 4000 E.
Each compressor has a LINK function that passes the sidechain signal to adjacent channels, allowing them to be combined. The ORIGIN EVO's dynamics section features a true RMS sidechain detector and a completely discrete gain reduction stage, identical to the Class A VCA circuit used in the original console. Flexible controls allow you to bypass the soft-knee curve, enable fast attack, and select logarithmic or linear release - providing three distinctive compression characteristics that have shaped countless iconic recordings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
