SSL System T S500 - digital console for broadcast and studio<\/b><\/h1>\n

The T System S500 is a collection of many years of broadcast console design and audio technology experience. The real innovation of the T System lies in both the technology and the design of the concept through T linking. That's why the SSL System T works in a networked environment, allowing not only free expansion of user interface (controller) type units, but also DSP and I\/O devices.<\/p>\n

The S500 console communicates over the protocol DANTE<\/a> AoIP, therefore, allows deletion and detection of devices in this standard from the controller. The T System (DSP) engine called TEMPEST was taken from the LIVE series consoles. It is the optimal solution for real-time audio transfer and mixing. Moreover, the sound quality is familiar from SSL's flagship consoles with the technology additionally combined with 64-bit processing.<\/p>\n

The T System S500 is a control surface that can be combined with any T System component; controller, motor, stageboxes. S500 is an area that consists of a module Fader Tail<\/i> with 16 faders, a 21-inch touchscreen, and a center and sectional channel tile<\/i>. Fader Tail SSL System T<\/b><\/h3>\n

The Fader Tile (a panel with 16 faders) on both the S300 and S500 controllers has 15 LAYER layers, each with 4 banks. This gives quick access to 960 channels from dedicated buttons. Motorized 100mm faders above which you'll find both PFL Solo and additional MUTE, AFL and \u201eQ\u201d (SuperQuery function) buttons, which gives direct access to sends and, in the case of output channels, to preview input channels. Each physical channel additionally has a set of quick controls (pulse encoder and three assigned keys) that work in conjunction with the vertical correspondents of the screen interface aspects above.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>

For those who prefer a separate section for channel control, SSL has prepared a Channel Tile<\/i>, which provides a set of control tools. In this section, we have at our disposal both a 7-inch touch screen and 15 rotary potentiometers assigned under the functions of EQ, Dynamic, PAN, INSERT EFFECT, etc.... Channel Tile<\/i> can operate in parallel with the main touchscreen or can be assigned to a selected channel along with the Focus Fader<\/i>. In addition, this panel also includes encoders to control the brightness level of the displays, four programmable buttons with displays, a power switch with redundancy switching, and a USB port for writing and reading SHOWFILE.\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n

    SSL stands for almost 40 years of experience in building analog and digital consoles. They have set standards in terms of operation and functionality for studio and broadcast work. The S500 controller is a new generation of consoles for studio and broadcast labeled System T. The units operate fully in a network environment. This makes it easy to connect them to each other or to remote computers, touchscreen terminals and remote hardware panels. A single or redundant pair of processor engines can be simultaneously shared with three independent controllers S300<\/a>, S500 and\/or TCR<\/a>. In addition, the T System enables a true remote control approach and convenient audio infrastructure design.<\/p>\n

    With SSL System T, Dante AoIP network technology (also AES 67) replaces traditional TDM routing. This solution has a wide range of operational and commercial benefits. Dante is a licensed AoIP technology that uses standard IT infrastructure for audio transmission, routing, device discovery and control. Dante is highly efficient, extremely versatile and fully scalable. A single gigabit network connection can contain 512 channels of audio at 48 kHz or 256 channels at 96 kHz. What's more, a single 24-port switch can support up to 12,288 signals.<\/p>\n

    The DANTE protocol gives access to seamless interoperability with more than 350 licensed manufacturers that make more than 1,000 devices. The SSL System T is also fully compatible with the AES67 protocol and is ready to work with the SMPTE 2110-30 protocol. The system allows full control of Dante network routing from the console and control interfaces.<\/p>\n

    Dante uses full plug-and-play device discovery, with the ability to move across the network and reconnect with settings intact. Fully redundant network topologies used and proven in many IT applications provide the security required in studio and broadcast infrastructures.<\/p>\n
