DIRECTOUT RAV.MILAN.SRC.IO
DirectOut RAV.MILAN.SRC.IO
RAV.MILAN.SRC.IO is a dual audio network module for a series of PRODIGY i MAVEN.A enabling support for a 64-channel RAVENNA stream and a 64-channel MILAN stream*.
One module, two audio engines
The module equipped with two audio network cards offers 2 x 64 different audio protocols - RAVENNA and MILAN. This allows connection to two audio protocols in one A-slot of the MAVEN.A or PRODIGY.MC device. With two A-slots on the PRODIGY.MP device, the range can be extended to include a third or even a fourth audio protocol.

Sample Rate Conversion
A custom HD SRC chip for bidirectional sample rate conversion is built in as standard.
The two audio network cards can operate at different sample rates.
Dual network modules provide a seamless connection between clock boundaries and different audio protocols in a single module.
Redundant streams
There are 2 x 2 independent network interfaces to connect each protocol via a second stream (primary/secondary or Port 1 / Port 2).
The number of audio channels per protocol is reduced at higher sampling rates - 32 channels at 2 FS or 16 channels at 4 FS.
RAVENNA is an open audio networking technology initially developed by the ALC NetworX.
DirectOut's own implementation of RAVENNA is based on more than a decade of development.
As a participant in the JT-NM Tested program, RAV.IO is listed in the JT-NM Tested catalog as a SMPTE 2110 compliant module.
Milan is an audio networking technology developed and maintained by Pro Audio market leaders within the Avnu Alliance®. Milan™ is a standards-based deterministic network protocol for real-time media.
