HARRISON AUDIO 32CLASSIC MS - LEGENDARY CHANNEL STRIP IN 19" RACK FORMAT"

The 32Classic MS is a high-performance, all-analog channel strip. Now you can have the distinctive Harrison sound from the flagship 32Classic recording console in your studio. With the added features of hybrid workflow and an integrated stereo mix bus for multi-unit summing, the 32Classic MS delivers the legendary sound while adding unique and innovative features to streamline your workflow.

With the same design as the 32Classic console, the 32Classic MS features a high-end Jensen JT-MB-CPCA transformer-coupled microphone preamp, distinctive Harrison LP/HP filters with a 3 dB resonant peak, and a super-smooth 4-band parametric EQ. The original 3232 console was used by artists such as Michael Jackson, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin and many others to create some of the most revered and timeless music ever created. Now, for the first time, this unique sound is available in a 19” rack format.  With 32Classic MS, you can have a legendary sound in your studio.

Versatile input section:

The 32Classic MS has a versatile input section, featuring dedicated microphone and XLR line inputs on the rear panel. It also offers a front-panel input with selectable Instrument/Hi-Z and Mic options for added convenience. The microphone input is equipped with essential tools such as 48-volt phantom power, a -20 dB pad, polarity reversal and a three-color LED meter. Both mic and line inputs have independent gain controllers, providing precise adjustment and excellent performance for both inputs. Whether you're recording, producing or mixing, the 32Classic MS has everything you need for your workflow.

Preamps Harrison - legendary sound:

A hallmark of Harrison's classic recordings is a high-performance transformer-coupled microphone preamplifier. True to its original, the 32Classic MS microphone preamp offers 70 dB of gain and the warm, rich sound for which Harrison is famous. With the Jensen JT-MB-CPCA transformer, you can expect a full bottom end, open midrange and super-smooth, natural highs. The transformer's gentle pullback at each end of the frequency spectrum and slight phase shift creates an incredibly sweet and musical sound, making it ideal for any sound source.

Characteristic LP/HP filters:

Like the original 3232 and the latest 32Classic console, the 32Classic MS's low- and high-pass filters offer a 12 dB/octave slope. The high-pass filter, which ranges from 25 Hz to 3.1 kHz, includes a distinctive 3 dB resonant peak, while the low-pass filter covers the range from 160 Hz to 20 kHz - ideal for eliminating rumble or smoothing out high frequencies. Harrison's real magic begins when it is used in conjunction with the EQ section to crank up the lows and open up the upper range, without sounding unpleasant.

32Classic EQ:

The 32Classic MS offers for the first time the iconic 4-band parametric equalizer from the 32Classic console in a 19” rack format. Originally created in the 1970s - an era when already the input signal had to sound great - its frequency bands and proportional Q design have been carefully crafted to offer both wide, musical and precise filters to get the best from any source. It is trusted by legendary engineers such as Bruce Swedien and Roger Nichols for its capabilities. Present in renowned studios such as The Village and Westlake Studios in Los Angeles and LSI Studios in Nashville because of its flexibility.

Integrated mixbus function and hybrid workflow

Build your Harrison recording and mixing system channel by channel with the 32Classic MS integrated mixbus. Designed to streamline your workflow and enhance your recording and mixing capabilities, the mixbus allows you to cascade outputs from multiple units using rear panel „summing” connectors and interconnect cables. Signals can be symmetrized with the Fader controller and panned to stereo outputs. You can also enable 0 dB Fader Bypass and record with uniform gain. Ideal for hybrid studios, mobile kits or recording systems, the 32Classic MS integrated mixbus delivers the iconic Harrison sound with exceptional flexibility.

Insert point:

The 32Classic MS includes a symmetrical Insert Point (located behind the microphone preamp and filter section) for connecting external dynamics processors, such as compressors, into the audio path.

Output channel:

The 32Classic MS has direct outputs before and after the attenuator for better control of signal saturation during recording.

32Classic MS sidecar:

Streamline your mixing or recording process by combining multiple channels of the 32Classic MS using them in parallel with a basic setup. This treatment is ideal for groups of drums or instruments. It will add the iconic Harrison sound, providing warmth, depth and flexibility to any recording or mixing session.
