Three-way passive surround studio monitor

ATC The SSM25i Pro, is based on the SCM25Ai Pro Mk2, but has a new passive crossover and features a 164-millimeter/6.5-inch bass driver, a 75-millimeter/3-inch midrange driver and a 25-millimeter/1-inch S-Spec tweeter. It is a passive studio monitor for wall or ceiling mounting, featuring a shallow cabinet depth, patented mounting system and reinforced cabinet. The SSM25i Pro is designed for surround and immersive audio installations, especially in smaller control rooms.
The SSM series design is distinguished by its very shallow chassis, the 3-way SSM25i Pro is only 198 mm / 7-13/16" flat-mounted and including mounting hardware.
The SSM Series loudspeakers not only have a very shallow enclosure, but also a mounting system that allows them to be mounted flat to a wall or ceiling, while allowing the enclosure to be tilted away from the mounting surface toward the listener. Pointing the speaker toward the listening area preserves frequency response and provides excellent balance and a more precise sound image. Finally, the speakers can be configured to be mounted not only in a vertical orientation, but also in a horizontal one, a valuable feature for ceiling mounting, as it maximizes the height of the source, but minimizes the projection of the enclosure into the workspace.
The SSM Series monitors are designed and engineered to work seamlessly with the entire range of ATC studio monitors. Mounting components are simple and very sturdy, and installation is simplified with drilling templates included with the products. Safety is very important, so the enclosures are reinforced with steel plates and equipped with a safety mounting point to secure the speaker in the very rare event of a failure of the main mount.
