Clear-Com HelixNet HKB-2X loudspeaker intercom station

HelixNet® is a networked partyline intercom system with up to 24 channels and Program Audio input available via XLR, LAN or WAN.

The HKB-2X is a 4-channel HelixNet intercom speaker station designed for flush-mount installation. The four channels are arranged in two layers. It is managed by the Arcadia® Central Station.

Station

The innovative user interface features two sets of keys, arranged in two layers, which can be assigned to each intercom channel, providing a total of four independent commands. The intercom screens can be rotated to ensure the best possible visibility. The station features a headset jack, a gooseneck microphone jack, and a speaker, as well as Program Audio level control. The HKB-2X can be flush-mounted in a standard electrical box or in a dedicated S-MOUNT multifunctional housing for mobile applications. The HKB-2X-X7 version features a seven-pin headset connector with an additional GPI PTT, which can be assigned to the station’s keys.

Local and central management

The HKB-2X can be added to the Arcadia or HelixNet system without the need for reconfiguration or downtime. The buttons on the front panel create a unique cascading menu that allows for touch-based device configuration and channel assignment. Roles can be created and applied to one or more HKB-2X units remotely or locally. Roles can also be edited locally or managed centrally via the Core Configuration Manager (CCM).

Connectivity and power options

The HKB-2X connects to the Arcadia central station via a network. Power can be supplied to the HKB-2X locally using the included power supply or via Power over Ethernet (PoE) from third-party devices.
