The Solid State Logic SSL 12 interface is a high-quality centerpiece for the home or studio director. It offers 4 SSL-designed microphone preamps (with Mic/Line and HPF), 2 Hi-Z instrument inputs for guitars, bass or vintage instruments, and 2 professional headphone outputs along with next-generation 32-bit/192 kHz AD/DA converters - guaranteeing pristine sound at all times. Advanced routing and monitoring options combined with an ADAT input supporting 8 additional channels of digital audio offer a total of 12 simultaneous recording tracks and 8 playback channels gathered into a rugged, portable design

CUSTOM SSL CONTROL ROOM

The SSL 360° software included with the SSL 12 interface offers a customizable SSL control room. It allows you to monitor input and output signals with precision meters. It allows you to assign functions to the SSL 12's three front panel switches, including key listening controls; Alternate monitor switching, Mono Sum, Invert Phase Left, Dim, Cut, as well as access to the built-in talkback microphone. What's more, creating up to 4 independent mixes with near-zero latency is quick and intuitive thanks to SSL console-style routing and session recall via Save/Load. In addition, users can choose between modes (Standard, High Impedance, High Sensitivity) to best match different types of headphones or create additional line outputs by repurposing headphone outputs.

Production toolkit

SSL 12 offers a set of tools dedicated to manufacturers. Users can configure where the Loopback signal is taken from. It's possible to record a media player output or create a custom sub-mix of your podcast via one of the Aux buses. Both headphone mixes and 3-4 line outputs are also available for absolute production flexibility. In addition, electronic music producers and vintage instrument enthusiasts will appreciate the comprehensive control offered by the voltage-controlled outputs allowing control of instruments, effects and MIDI inputs/outputs.

SSL Production Suite

Included with SSL 12 is the renowned SSL Production Suite. It includes a valuable set of virtual instruments, samples, plug-ins and DAWs (valued at over $1,000). It includes Vocalstrip, Drumstrip 2 plug-ins, a 3-month full SSL subscription, and 3-month licenses from companies such as Antares and Output.
