We had the great pleasure of providing hardware support for the FMF Young Talent Award Master Classes held as part of the Film Music Festival in Krakow.

FMF Young Talent Award Master Class is a great opportunity for outstanding young composers to learn how best to record, mix and produce their works. Therefore, we could not miss the opportunity to equip these exceptional artists and their brilliant teachers with the best tools. Their knowledge during the workshop was shared by Miriam Cutler, Matthew Bien, Magdalena Piotrowska, Szymon Piotrowski, and Marek Walaszek of Bettermaker. The session was directed by Fiona Cruickshank and GianLuca Massimo z AirStudios.

Recordings during FMF Young Talent Award Master Class.
The heart of the recording session at the FMF Young Talent Award Master Classes was the digital console Solid State Logic System T S500. The ergonomics, functionality and precision of the SSL mixer gave participants full control over every aspect of the recording, which definitely streamlined the recording process and allowed them to get the best results. It is worth noting that the latest System T mixing system faithfully reproduces the character of the iconic SSL analog consoles present in the best recording studios, on which the workshop presenters work on a daily basis.

Signals to the console and recording system went through the stagebox SSL SB32.24 equipped with preamplifiers constructed with SuperAnalogue technology characterized by unparalleled dynamics and extraordinary detail, which are so desirable in classical music.

Integration with Pro Tools
Thanks to the System-T S500's advanced integration of the console with a computer equipped with Pro Tools software, the performers were able to monitor and control the recording directly from the mixer screen. This innovative solution enabled fast and efficient work, eliminating the need to switch between different devices.

Listening in the director's room
Studio monitors were used for listening in the director's room ATC SCM100ASL Pro, offering an uncompromising reference. Thanks to them, every sound was heard in the smallest detail, allowing the producers to precisely control the final sound of the recording.

Clear-Com communication system
An intercom system was responsible for effective communication between the recording studio and the conductor and orchestra. Clear-Com. Arcadia base station enabled the creation of communication channels and distribution of signals between the panel HelixNet in the director's box, Dante signals for the conductor, orchestra musicians and monitor realizer, as well as for the FreeSpeak II series wireless beltpacks for maintenance.

Mixing sessions in Krakow
SSL System T and monitors ATC Loudspeakers accompanied the realizers during the mixing sessions in Cracow. They made it possible to achieve a perfect sound, which was the culmination of intensive work on the project.
Thanks to the use of the latest technology and top-of-the-line equipment, the recordings during the FMF Young Talent Award Master Classes reached the highest possible standard, allowing workshop participants to focus on creativity and improving their skills.
