Solid State Logic has announced the acquisition of Harrison, an American manufacturer of pro audio consoles and music production software.

Since 1975, Harrison has been one of the world's leading brands of audio mixers for music recording and mixing, audio post-production for film and television, cloud broadcast and live work. They are credited with launching the first „in-line console,” which revolutionized studio production by allowing engineers to combine recording and mixing functions in a single channel strip mixer.
The partnership brings together two global iconic brands of music mixing consoles under the Audiotonix technology group.

Nigel Beaumont, CEO of Solid State Logic, comments: ” The last five years, since SSL has been part of the Audiotonix group, have been a period of continuous growth for us. That's why today's announcement is a special moment for all our employees, as I welcome the Harrison team to the SSL family. It has been clear from the beginning that Gary (Thielman - president) and his colleagues have a passion for designing consoles, and their inspirations overlap with ours.”
Enrigue Perez, CTO of Solid State Logic, continues: ” There is also a strong synergy of their software solutions that work well with our plug-ins. Like SSL, Harrison leverages its console heritage and know-how to create a range of plug-ins and a MIXBUS DAW, and has also developed cloud-based audio processing. It's all a good fit in terms of knowledge sharing and further development in the future, jointly developing our hardware products and software solutions. „
Gary Thielman, president of Harrison, states: „Having been part of this business and the pro audio industry since the early 1980s, it seems very natural that we would build a common foundation with Solid State Logic and Audiotonix. This alliance provides Harrison with a strong future with access to further manufacturing, engineering expertise and expanding our access to new channels and partners. This increases our potential to grow this great business. I am particularly excited about the benefits for both brands and their customers, as they will all benefit from our sharing of ideas with our SSL colleagues.”
James Gordon, CEO of Audiotonix, adds, ”From Audiotonix's perspective, it is an honor to help establish this unique partnership with these two legendary mixing console brands from the UK and US. With their highly individual and recognizable sound, their future together will be incredible. It's also great that Harrison and Solid State Logic share a similar philosophy, their teams are personally involved in the industry, so I can't wait to see what innovations and products this „super-group” of technical talent can bring to market.”
