Solid State Logic introduces a new tool for working with DAWs—the UC1. The new UC1 controller combines the classic ergonomics of SSL consoles with the power of the SSL Native Channel Strip 2 and Bus Compressor 2 plug-ins.
Following the success of the recently launched UF8 advanced DAW controller, Solid State Logic is introducing another tool designed for plugin control. Drawing on decades of unique expertise in console ergonomics and studio workflows, UC1 provides simultaneous, multifunctional control of the included SSL Native plug-ins; Channel Strip 2 and Bus Compressor 2. Like the well-known UF8, the UC1 is configured via the SSL 360° app and the Plug-in Mixer, allowing users to access and control all channels in sessions where the SSL Channel Strip and Bus Compressor are in use. This gives us the ability to work on a virtual console.
The UC1 features high-quality encoders, buttons, and LEDs, as well as an authentic compressor gain reduction meter, thereby faithfully replicating the console's analog center section.
The new SSL 360° Plug-in Mixer app allows users to create their own virtual SSL consoles supported by the UC1. The app is designed to provide instant access to the SSL Channel Strip and Bus Compressor plug-ins within a single window. This allows for session management with unmatched efficiency.The SSL UC1 package includes full licenses for the SSL Native Channel Strip 2 and Bus Compressor 2 plug-ins, which are modeled after the legendary XL 9000 K SuperAnalogue console.
