DirectOut MAVEN.A

MAVEN.A is an intelligent audio platform with modular I/O and signal processing.Housed in a compact 1 RU chassis, it offers a capacity of up to 400 x 402 audio channels and an adaptable feature set to meet the changing needs of today's audio applications. MAVEN.A is designed to bridge the gap between entry-level and flagship audio systems, sharing the same hardware modules with the PRODIGY series.

The intelligent platform is equipped with a powerful FPGA and processor, and can be expanded or changed according to the requirements of each application. In this way, the smart platform contributes to the DirectOut Audio Solution Model (ASM) philosophy. How.

MAVEN.A has one A socket and two C sockets:

• Slot A - audio network, multi-port MADI or USB - up to 256 channels
• Socket C - converter (microphone/line, AD/DA) and AES3 - 8 channels per module

Two SFP cages can be equipped with different transceivers to extend connectivity with two additional MADI ports with 64 channels each.

DSP
Signal processing offers gain control of all inputs and outputs and groups of channels for convenient mixing.
64 Flex Channels provide signal processing with excellent internal plug-ins:

• FIR filter with selectable filter types and custom filter
• IIR filter with six instances of selectable filter types
• Dynamics with four different configurations
• Delay up to 65534 samples (= 1365 milliseconds at 48 kHz)

A 64 x 64 matrix mixer for mixing 64 freely assignable sources to 64 buses.
64 summing buses, each of which can sum any number of signal sources to a single channel.
AutoMix to automatically mix different audio signals in up to 16 AutoMix groups to increase intelligibility or reduce noise.
DSP licenses are available in bundles of smaller units to divide the total capacity.

Seamless connectivity and redundancy
Two-way sample rate conversion (HD SRC or FastSRC™) allows you to seamlessly connect different digital devices.

32 input managers, each of which manages automatic signal switching between up to six physical inputs.

EARS™ (Enhanced Automatic Redundancy Switching) for automatic failover of the entire input port to the backup port.

Control is key
Globcon control manages all DirectOut devices over the network - on a Mac or PC.
Local display and touchscreen operation facilitates overview and provides basic control.
