DirectOut MADI2.SRC.IO

MADI2.SRC.IO is a multi-port MADI module for the PRODIGY series based on the PRODIGY Audio Network module chassis.

Two MADI ports connect 128 channels of audio digital input and output signals via SFP transceivers. The transceivers are connected to SFP cages and can be exchanged to match the required connection type. E.g. LC optical multi-mode or single-mode for optical transmission or mini BNC for coaxial transmission.

The number of audio channels is reduced at higher sampling rates - 64 channels @ 2 FS or 32 channels @ 4 FS.

Fiber-optic cable transmission typically enables long-distance connections, depending on the fiber mode (up to 2,000 meters, multimode, or 10,000 meters, single-mode) and the transceiver.

Matching transmitter-receiver fiber modes and cabling is required.

Coaxial cable transmission typically allows connections of up to 100 meters, depending on the quality of the cabling and the transceiver.

Transceivers for optical transmission are available from DirectOut as accessories.

MADI2.SRC.IO offers (HD SRC) to MADI. This function is not available for single-port MADI PRODIGY modules, where only low-latency sample rate conversion is offered (FastSRC™) for input and output.
